Story of our car

Our GTR was the very first one LHD GTR in Europe. It is one of the very first cars delivered to USA, from where it was delivered with aircraft to Czech Republic. After few hundrets kilometers of road legal driving, it was rebuilt into clubman rally spec.

 

The engine ECU remains stock one, also the crank, pistons, conrods and valves come from original GTR. What was changed were the injectors, turbo regulation and wastegates. After dyno mapping we say clain the 700hp power output. For switching between the fuel maps is the car equipped with HKS controller. The stock exhaust and exhaust manifolds were changed for 5Zigen hardware. Original intake kit with airbox was replaced by cone air filter.

 

The original bodywork was enlightened by cutting of various metal parts. After WRC Appendix J according rollcage from Vaclav Najman was assembled, were all the visible metal body parts replaced by carbon fibre ones. The rear fenders are the only exception. All the carbon parts were developed bespoken for us. The fuel tank remain the same, underbody of the car is now protected with sumpguards. Thanks to massive weight cuts the car has about 1530kg, which is the same level as stock Subaru Imprezas and Mitsubishi Lancers are.

 

In the interior you can see lots of comfort parts missing. The shifting mechanism remains the same as original, our team has just added bigger paddles. The gearbox was reinforced to cover increased torque of the car. The primary shaft was changed, first gear and dual clutches also. New driver and codriver seats weight 2,7kg each one, the original steering wheel with airbag was replaced for racing one including LED shifting indicators. The roof was equipped with scoop providing fresh air into car´s interior, because the lifting windows were replaced by light ones without the lifting possiblity. The extinqushing system was also added into the car.

 

Increasing power of the car brought the must of updating the suspension and brakes as well. Genuine bushings were changed for ball joints, brake system comes from Alson, this means calipers and pads also. The front rotors have dimmensions 400x36mm and 385x33 goes for rear ones. Original rims were changed for Braids allowing using wider tires. Antiroll bars now are made by Still, the dampers were delivered by Penske brand.

 

Our GTR was probably the most powerful car starting in any rally race in Czech Republic, on the other hand, it was built to bring pleasure to the driver more instead of being the fastest car in the grid. Our GTR has its limits especially in the capability of suspension, especially on bumpy czech roads are the roots in production car clearly visible. After two seasons in clubman races, including some event podiums and wins, we brought our GTR to the world of hillclimbs. In these days is the car just part of our collection, but this does not mean we will never let this beast to see daylight!
